MICRONEEDLING
Microneedling is a minimally invasive skin rejuvenation procedure, also known as collagen induction therapy and percutaneous collagen injection. Using precise needles, the device stimulates the replacement of surface skin cells, revealing young, glowing skin underneath.
.
WHAT IS microneedling?
Microneedling involves pricking the skin with tiny sterilized needles. The small wounds cause your body to make more collagen and elastin, which heal your skin and help you look younger.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Microneedling is done using a device that contains tiny, fine needles to puncture the skin. By plucking with the tips of these needles, the device creates a controlled area of damage at the surface-level of the skin.
The body recognizes the damage, even though it is not enough to cause scabbing or scarring, so it activates the skin’s natural healing process. The body triggers the production of collagen and elastin, resulting in improved skin texture and firmness, as well as reduction in scars, pore size, and stretch marks.
This is an especially effective treatment for those who want to reduce the appearance of scars, wrinkles and pores by rejuvenating the skin under and around them
